Dynamo boys continue with medal haul in Milton Keynes

The Dynamo Boys Squad continued their preparations towards the National Finals with great results in the Tom Willson invitational held in Milton Keynes.

The competition kicked off with the Pre-Level 1’s (Under 8) and the Level 1’s (Under 9).
Connor Sullivan, Isaac Beattie-Edwards and Ben Fyvie-Rae gained valuable competition experience competing in field of twenty gymnasts. They competed confidently finishing 6th, 10th and 18th respectively. Some excellent routines on the High Bar also saw Connor and Isaac take 2nd and 3rd individually on this apparatus.

In the Level 1 competition, Dynamo entered 7 gymnasts. Owen Sims (2nd) , Tom George (6th) , Finlay Hughes (11th), Wesley Wong (13th), Ethan Green (14th), Mathias Potter (15th) and Tyler Grant (16th) competed strongly as a team with individuals apparatus medals going to Tom George who was a triple Bronze medalist on Floor, Parallel Bars and the High Bar. Owen Sims produced another fine performance winning Silvers on the Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars and taking Gold on the Floor, Rings and the Vault.

The 2nd round saw the turn of the Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 gymnasts. Henry Baynes competed for Dynamo in the Level 2 competition finishing 9th all around with some strong scoring routines such as Vault where he finished just outside of the medals scoring 9.650.

Keaton Spry competed exceptionally well in the Level 3 age group to take 6 individual medals including Bronze on Rings and Parallel Bars, Silvers on Vault and High Bar, Gold on Pommel Horse and also taking the All around Silver medal with a score of 54.520 from a possible 60.00.

The final group of gymnasts were Dynamo’s Under 12 boys who were competing in the Level 4 category. Without teammate Joseph Devine (withdrew due to injury) the gymnasts competed solidly across all 6 apparatus not making one single major error between them. This display was rewarded with Jack Helps taking all around Gold closely followed by Harry Hayes in Silver and James Leaver completing the clean sweep of podium places for Dynamo in 3rd. Louis Brunnen also competed well to finish in 5th place.
Individual apparatus were won by all 4 gymnasts with Louis Brunnen taking Silver and Bronze on Rings and High Bar. James Leaver took 5 Bronze medals on Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault and Parallel Bars and also a Silver on the High bar. Harry Hayes won Bronze on the Vault, Silver on Floor and Golds on Pommel and Rings and Jack Helps completed the haul, winning Silver on Vault and Gold on Pommel Horse,  Parallel Bars and the High Bar.
