& Challenge Cup Championships 2014

Dynamo School of Gymnastics hosted the Hampshire In-Age Levels Championships last weekend. With girls competing across all age groups, it was a busy weekend for the Dynamo Girls Squad.

The Level 5 girls competed in Round 1, with Lily Harrington coming out in 10th place, scoring 42.40. Team mate Bethan Light was next in 13th with 41.90, Dolcie Hansler in 15th with 41.35, Emma Glasspool in 16th with 41.25, Tallulah Sim in 17th with 39.55 and Isla Ross in 21st with 37.75. Emma also gained the Bronze medal for her floor routine.

The Level 4 girls were up next in Round 2 with Lila North in 9th place with a score of 43.85 and Victoria Baynes in 12th with 38.80.

In Level 3, Amelie Priestman finished in 3rd place overall with a score of 44.05, adding Silver on Vault and Bronze on Beam and Floor to her medal collection. Team mate Amelie Goosey, finished in 6th place with 42.40, also gaining the Silver medal on Beam.

In Level 2, Sydney Letchford finished in 1st overall becoming the Level 2 Hampshire Champion, with a score of 43.70, also adding Gold on Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.

In the Espoir age group, Tayah Askham finished in 1st place overall becoming the Espoir Challenge Hampshire Champion, with a score of 43.40. Tayah finished 2nd on Vault, 1st on Bars & Beam and 2nd on floor. Leah Mitchell finished in 2nd overall with a score of 42.40 also adding 3rd place on Vault and Bars, Silver on Beam and Gold on Floor. Amy Layzell finished in 3rd place with a score of 40.25 also gaining 1st on Vault, 2nd on Bars, and 3rd on Beam and Floor.

In the Junior age group, Casey Spry finished in 3rd place with a score of 42.30, also gaining 3rd on Vault & Bars, 2nd on Beam and 1st on Floor.

In the Senior age group, Madison Wright competed 2 pieces in what will be her final competition. Maddie finished with 24.35 overall, gaining the Gold medal on Vault & Floor and becoming the Senior Challenge Hampshire Champion. Team mate Chloe Brebner, also competed on 2 pieces, returning to competition after recovering from a broken foot. Chloe finished with 20.40, and gained the Gold medal on Bars and Beam.

Congratulations to all the girls that competed last weekend and Good Luck to the girls who will compete in the Regional Championships next weekend in Milton Keynes.
