Pegasus Open

The Dynamo Girls travelled to the Pegasus Open competition along with their coaches Kerri Upton & Emma Beales.

In the Level 2 competition, Elise Blisset finished in 3rd overall with a score of 38.425, with team mate Lila North in 4th position with 38.40. Elise also picked up the Bronze medal on both Bars and Floor, with Lila picking up the Bronze on Vault and Beam.

In the Espoir category, Sydney Letchford completed a clean bars and beam routine to finish in 6th overall with 42.50. Team mate Isabelle Prinsep scored 38.05 to finish in 8th position.

In the Junior category, Leah Mitchell finished in 3rd position after a confident and clean competition scoring a personal best of 45.30. Leah also took 3rd place on floor with 12.15 amongst all age groups. Team mate Olivia Essex finished in 4th overall, with 43.20, competing her new skills with confidence. Ellen Martin in her first Junior competition, finished in 7th with 41.05. Ellen held her own, competing her new beam routine cleanly. Tayah Askham competing just 2 apparatus after picking up an ankle injury, competed her release and regrasp on bars away from home for the first time, and put together a basic beam routine to continue to gain competition experience.

Danielle Barnes finished in 4th overall in the Senior competition, with a personal best score of 47.50. Danielle also picked up the Gold on Bars with an impressive score of 13.00 on this apparatus.

A great confidence builder for all the girls who will now continue the hard work into the summer holidays, with competitions kicking back off in September for the majority of the girls. Elise Blisset and Ellen Martin have one more competition to go, they compete in their Hampshire Levels next weekend.

Head Coach Kerri Upton said of the performance “It was a fantastic opportunity to compete new skills and gain valuable competition experience for the all the girls. A great performance for the girls meant their efforts were rewarded.”
