Hampshire in Age Levels

Dynamo School of Gymnastics hosted the Hampshire In Age Levels competition this past weekend.

In the Level 5 competition, Lucie Denton finished 5th overall with an all-around score of 45.35. Lucie also took the Silver medal on Vault for her Straight Front Somersault and 4th place on bars. Kennedy Andrews finished in joint 10th position with an overall score of 43.20, after completing a clean competition. Poppy Fletcher finished in 15th position with a score of 39.90, followed by team mate Lucy Glasspool in 16th with 38.75. Danae Sexton finished with a score to 37.85 to take 18th position, with team mate Rose Schumilian in 19th with 37.80.

In the Level 4 competition, Lydia Sim finished in 7th overall with an all around score of 43.60, taking 6th position on beam and 5th on floor. Molly Symonds finished in 8th place with a score of 43.45 after successfully completing her Longswings on bars for the first time. Olivia Francis finished in 10th position with a total score of 40.95.

In the Level 2 competition Lila North finished in 4th position, with a score of 38.95, taking the Bronze medal on Bars, 5th on both Vault and Beam, with 4th on Floor. Team mate Victoria Baynes finished in 5th overall, with a score of 38.50. Victoria finished 4th on Vault, Bars and Beam and 5th on Floor.

In the Junior Challenge competition, Jessica Wells took the Junior title with an all around score of 46.25. Jessica took the Vault, Beam and Floor Gold and Silver on Bars. Tayah Askham finished 2nd overall with an all around score of 43.85. Tayah took the Gold on Bars, and Silver on Vault, Beam and Floor. Olivia Essex finished with an all around score of 42.05, taking 3rd position overall. Olivia also finished 3rd on all 4 apparatus.

In the Senior Challenge competition, Danielle Barnes took the Senior title with an all around score of 48.30. Danielle also took Gold on all 4 apparatus after completing a fantastic competition.

A fantastic day for the Dynamo Girls with many of the girls improving their all around scores from their previous competition, showing their hard work is paying off. Head of Women¹s Artistic Kerri Upton said of the girls performance, "The girls have all worked hard over the past few weeks to improve their routines, and this reflected in the scores. It¹s great to see the improvement in a such a short period of time, and gives us confidence in the girls heading forwards"
