Hampshire Club grades

Dynamo School of Gymnastics, based at The Hamble School, hosted the Hampshire Club Grades this past weekend with over 200 gymnasts competing from across the county.

Dynamo had representation in all 6 grades across the weekend. Starting with our youngest girls which competed in their first grade, Club Grade 6. Coaches Ella Beattie-Edwards and Olivia Essex also on the floor for the first time along with their gymnasts, who all turn 8 this year. Hadeya Nazari, had a fantastic competition, placing 8th overall with a total score of 62.10, gaining a distinction. Also passing with distinction Maci Poulton placed 16th with 60.65 and Lexie-Mae Little 18th with 60.10. Gaining commendation for their Grades, Freya Gharibian in 20th with 59.80, Matilda Symonds 22nd with 59.30, Jessica Ley in 26th with 58.85, Willow Williams 29th with 58.55, Thea Shirley in 40th with 57.25, Ella Swete 43rd with 57.00, Gracie Rutherford in 44th with 56.95, Ligaya Labourn in 46th with 56.80, Emily Clarke with 56.30 in 50th and Mya Balcombe in 52nd with 55.80. Emilia Russel also passed her grade in 68th with 52.55.

Our Grade 5 girls coached by Emma Beales all put out a strong with Eloise Worwood producing a strong performance finishing 6th overall with a total score of 63.40. This not only gave her a distinction but qualified her to Regional Grade Finals which will take place next month. Team-mate Betsy Jones finished 10th overall with 62.20 also gaining distinction along with Sophia Scappaticci in 15th with 60.95. Gaining commendation for their Grade, Sophie Read-Jones in 28th with 57.00, Lily Kimber in 30th with 56.85 and Amelia Harvey-Gutteridge in 32nd with 56.45.

The Grade 4 competition saw Esmee Lewis finish in 21st with a total score of 53.70 and team mate Layla Mears in 22nd with 53.65, both girls easily passing their Grades under the guidance of coach Sarah Sharkey.

Lucie Russel looked after our Grade 3 gymnasts with Lillian Smith finishing in 14th with 56.85 with team-mate Saffira Barkley in 15th with 56.30, both girls being commended for their performances. Also passing their Grade 3, Ella Read-Jones scored 53.65 to finish 25th along with Yasmin LeBas in 26th with 53.20.

Club coach Zoe Gilling, had both the Grade 2 & 1 girls to prepare, with Lacey Williams putting in a fantastic performance in Grade 2, placing 6th overall with a score of 59.70 gaining commendation for her Grade. Team mates Charlotte Ingram was in 8th with 58.50, followed by Ruby Swales 9th with 57.45 and Ella Nowell 10th with 57.15. All the girls received commendation for their Grades.

In Grade 1, both Elita Castro-Garrick and Summer Brookes successfully completed their Regional Club Grades with Elita placing 3rd overall with with 57.90 followed by team-mate Summer in 4th with 57.30. Both girls were commended for their Grades and have also qualified for the Regional grade Finals next month.

A successful weekend for Team Dynamo’s Women’s Artistic Squad with a 100% pass rate. Head Coach Kerri Beaven said of the performances “We’re really proud of all of our girls and coaches who have worked so hard to polish their routines for Grades season, the results show the work put in has been successful and we can look forward to a great year ahead.”
